Course Description
This class goes over teaching as a career - challenges and rewards, history, philosophies, social issues, legal issues, job availability, and governance. It also goes into preparation for acceptance into a teacher education program.
Reflection
I've really enjoyed this class because it really takes you through the experiences you'll face as a teacher, the good, the bad, the sometimes impossible, and gives you tools on how to get through difficult times. I also got to work in the field and experience teaching first hand. I taught a lessson plan to a group of young children ages one to six on sea animals (video below).
